Journal of Addiction Psychiatry (formerly Journal of Neuroimaging in Psychiatry and Neurology) publishes rigorous but fair peer-reviewed research across a wide spectrum of translational, basic and clinical research and translational medicine. The goal of Journal of Addiction Psychiatry is to couple basic science in worldwide problems involving all types of addiction both substance and non-substance. This journal is supported by a well-known editorial board and Chief Editor Rajendra D. Badgaiyan at Mt. Sinai University New York, along with Kenneth Blum (Western University Health Sciences)as co-editor bringing a wealth of publishing experience. Additionally, associate editors, Mark S Gold (Washington University), Igor Elman (Harvard), Panayotis K. Thanos (University of Buffalo) and David Baron (Western university health Sciences) represent the addiction psychiatry field and experience thereof. This multidisciplinary open-access journal is at the forefront of disseminating and communicating scientific knowledge and impactful discoveries to researchers, academics, clinicians and the public worldwide. One laudable goal of the journal is to accept high quality articles that help promote both basic and clinical science to utilize translational modalities to enhance therapeutic approaches for all mental illness. Another important goal of the journal is to publish studies that could lead to novel genetic and epigenetic tools to provide for early diagnosis of Pre-addiction risk and intervention.
